3D A Chance to Dance is a Devon County Council funded organisation that aims to promote high quality dance and provide performance opportunities for school children and young people in Devon. 3D's objectives are:
Young people can participate through: DYDC is an auditioned Company (male and female) age 14-18 who work with their own Artistic Director and visiting professional dance artists and choreographers. They perform across the county and by invitation at other regional and national events. More about Devon Youth Dance Company (DYDC) Up to 8 un-auditioned primary and secondary age groups across the county, where each group is led by a specialist dance teacher or dance artist and makes work to perform alongside DYDC and school groups at one or more of the 3D performance days. More about Your Chance to Dance groups All schools are invited to bring their own dance piece to one of the 3D performance days. Annually, about 42 schools take up this opportunity to experience performing to a large audience in a professional venue, and to share their work with their peers from across the county.
