Devon students Ben Wisken, 18, and Cameron Finnemore, 17, are amongst just eight young people nationally to be chosen to join the first UK-wide youth dance company.

Wordquest Devon is launching a Devon wide poetry competition for young people, supported by creative writing workshops provided by Daisi. The first ten schools to book workshops as part of this project will receive a 10% discount on the workshop fee, provided by Wordquest Devon.

Visitors to the Exeter Northcott Theatre this December have found themselves surrounded by thick oozy mud, long wavy grass, a deep cold river, a big dark forest, a narrow gloomy cave and a swirling whirling snow storm, all created by Devon children in Daisi workshops and inspired by the Theatre's latest production.

Three free introductory Saturday workshops kicking off Devon Youth Theatre's 2012 season will take place in January 2012. 

These workshops are open to young people between 13 and 19 who live within the area governed by Devon County Council. All those who attend the workshops will have the chance to share their work with other young people from across Devon at a Youth Theatre County Showcase in Exeter.
